There was a pretty big one that stayed on the front page for a few days last week. That episode was really good with Alexander's backstory and his one man mission against the Chinese. And like that anon said a lot of people dropped it at the first episode. After that clusterfuck of a first episode I can't really blame them, I just hope they at least give the past few episodes a chance. It has been improving.

While Michelle was pretty toned in the manga art, in the official art of the first anime, they made her absolutely ripped. They took that away the first episode of this new season then giver her back her muscles in the next episode. So her body is pretty inconsistent.

The soundtrack is pretty great desu.
Keiji's spin-off has pretty nice art. It's very fitting.
I think that it's not objectively awful but that season one and the first studio where so much better that it's impossible not to imagine how much better this season would've been if they just handled it.
And really I'm still watching it, and every episode is better in every regard from the last, animation, effects, sound, everything is better.
The thing that bothered me the most was the lack of bug gore in the last episode we finally fucking got some real good bug gore, like this series is supposed to be an Adult Swim show not this fucking Toonami BS we're getting this season, but it's slowly getting better.

It makes sense to have the change in art-style for the later part to suit the less gritty feel compared to people jobbing left and right in the earlier parts.
I'm pretty positive about S2 adaptation if they can keep up this level of quality.

Hiroshi Hamasaki left the studio for TMS/Telecom to work on the orange anime, so it probably was happening no matter what. The new director has storyboarded for him on Shigurui, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was chosen by recommendation. I'm not too sure though.

The second season is utter fucking shit, that's why. Season one wasn't perfect, but it was a good show and was a decent adaptation of the source material even if they cut some humor bits. Now, in one episode they managed to ruin everything the first season had going for it, and go the other way with the humor by having way too fucking much of it. I've heard some anons say it got better, but it was already bottom tier shit so there was no where to go but up.
I'm just going to pick up the manga instead.

You should of done that in the first place; both seasons of the anime cut or rush things from the manga. The manga is much better than season 1 or 2. Although episode 5 and 6 were much better than the rest of season 2, and it seems like the rest of the episodes will follow.

Turns out Chinese didn't do a majority of the betraying - that was Rome. The main members of Squad 4 betrayed direct orders and wanted to kill Akari and Michelle so China could experiment on them. And they knew that Michelle inherited the Bullet Ant powers, but it's completely unknown how she inherited it. It's implied it's true love, but they wanted Akari and Michelle to figure out how they function.

It got significantly better after episode 2. I think they'll redo the whole thing for the BD. After episode 2 it felt like the entire season's production was replanned from scratch like they do it with a TV pilot and started doing a lot of things differently.
