It looks like the iso linked there is a rather weirdly decrypted iso while the xdelta3 patch is only against a specific, encrypted iso (md5sum 1074ac98d9df3c964d845120036ccc7e).
Further inspection of the iso reveals that the EBOOT.BIN it contains is broken (probably how that decrypter worked) and the old EBOOT.BIN is now stored in EBOOT.OLD. It probably placed the decrypted binary in BOOT.BIN which is only used when EBOOT.BIN is unreadable, and the patcher doesn't check for that.
You could use umdgen to replace the EBOOT.BIN by the old one, and then the patcher should be able to patch it fine.
Alternatively, you can also just use the iso that the patcher generated when it gave that error, it's only a few details (disk ID from Japanse region to English region, English PSP menus and the first loading graphic) which will not be done.

The rest are faking/forcing parts of their personality for whatever reason (though you might argue Noël's is as much trauma as a concious decision to avoid more betrayal).

Seems there's a lot more things I missed around on my first time there, thanks anon, a couple of the landmarks are really noticeable like where Rio performs her fire dance, the bridge, parador Jesus thing hanging above the bar, etc. But there are also some which are really hidden away quite well that you need to have a very good look for them.
Also thought it was interesting there were shards of pink glass on one of the hills overlooking the bridge. Really shows how nicely detailed they paid attention to things in the town.
Also supposedly a really nice Japanese restaurant right down where the path that takes you to the tower is. I haven't been in there myself but I was planning too on my second time there since I didn't really have enough on my first time.

It's a must undiscovered gem that I highly recommend visiting. Only thing that bothered me was that I saw no stray cats despite seeing them in every other small Spanish village I stopped along the way, that is probably a sign of something but there was lots of other animals there like ducks in the small river near the entrance to old town with some really large fish in. First night I got there I pretty much just relaxed since I had an incredibly long car journey, around 16 hours or so, basically had a meal in the hotel then rested and next day I explored a lot of the more famous landmarks, such as the bridge, parador, fountain Kanata plays with a cat, tower etc. In a day I think. I would say the town is better more for a weekend stay over rather than a full week. Then again I didn't really explore more of the other SNW landmarks which stood out, the soldier drawing, the long brick wall from the ED, I missed those on my first time.
Also can't be so sure if I passed the steps or not where Noel took Kanata for a drive, I'm 50/50 those were right next to a monastery I walked past. I need to watch the series again to be sure.

From my experience of Spain it's the best to stay with the small towns. (Especially along some of the coastline). They are beautiful and you really feel the small town aesthetic.
Do make sure though you have some way of translating Spanish with you though. English literacy is very poor in the rural areas. When I was there for business reasons I was surprised to find that even half the engineers there spoke incredibly bad/no English (and most of them who did were flown in from Madrid).

If you don't mind walking there's a bus that can take you from the base of the tower to a castle in the old town for around 60 cents. That was pretty nice. You could easily walk up it in a short amount of time though. There's also a lot of nice food places and art related things I think done by students. They are very visible. Also a man made, I think it was anyway, lake close to the entrance.
You might have trouble getting in the parador since you need to make reservation to stay at the hotel itself. Also the scene where they played with the water canons is an actual restaurant I believe. Actually very noticeable due to the motif of the tile scheme.
