It isn't even about the sexual side of it though. I just get mad at seeing a girl wearing intentionally torn up jeans, a baggy sweater and a snapback as "fashion". It isn't even a case of "lazy sunday" wear, it is how they dress all the time. I've started noticing this trend of announcements for announcements and then like "Yeah some time in 2017" or maybe not even. It seems to be mostly an Aniplex production thing because everything is just so obsessively managed around maximizing marketing potential there that they likely want to see how big the initial reaction is to the announcement before deciding just how much budget, planning and marketing push they want to put behind the project and what seasons they want to air these projects in so as to minimize competition which means waiting on other producers a bit. Basically this means announce the shit as early as possible and then just sit on the licenses until there's an open slot in a convenient season. Of all the crap they've announced in the last 5-6 months and it's a fucking lot as always (possibly more than the rest of the industry combined) maybe a quarter of it at best actually has proper release dates decided yet. Most of it is just assumed to have been pushed to some time in 2017 and stuff like Granblue Fantasy they've admitted they don't even have plans to put it into pre-production yet. Knowing SHAFTs scheduling this is probably their lineup for the next decade or something and I'm not sure if I'm exaggerating or not. None of this stuff looks like it can't be carried by established brand and fan loyalty at the moment either so it's not like there's a huge rush or need for terribly careful planning beyond the marketing blitz that'll come in time.
