I just got cyber sleuth. As someone, who never watched the show as a kid, what's the best place to start?
I'm already caught up with Tri and I need my fix. Also Digimon thread

Start with Adventure.

Tamers gets dark and is pretty mature for the demographic of kids.
I don't remember much of the 4th season but I didn't like the transformations.
Besides Adventures, Adventure's 02, and Tri none of the series are connected to each other (though Tamers has some minor cameos here and there)
so you don't really need any information of any series to know the other
Adventure is the only season worth watching

I rewatched it recently too.
Adventure is a classic.
02 has some nice parts, but it's not worth it. I've been pissed off for 15 years because of it.
Tamers is arguably better than Adventure. And has connection to the first two seasons if you know where to look.
Frontier is basically Digimon Sentai, but it's still great.
Savers is different, but supposed to be good. I've never watched it. MC punches digimon himself.
Xros Wars is on par with Adventure, but know that powerlevels mean nothing in it.
Young Hunters is as bad as 02.
Tri is alright so far.

and props for being the first digimon series where the human is actually evil (prior digimon series they were mind-controlled/misunderstood)
