I also strongly suggest reading Noise since it's a prequel and sort of explains how everything went to shit not to mention how awesome it is. Then there is Netsphere Engineer and Blame2 which serve as epilogues in a way but you don't have to read them. Try to form your own opinion on exactly that happened because even the most in-depth theories have quite a bit headcanon in them.
Will any of the other Blame! related stuff be getting reprints? Will Abara finally get an english version?

Blame was initially done by Project Omanga. Omanga completed Blame on its own, but other groups also picked it up. Those other groups' versions are the ones you tend to see beyond v2, unless you're on a random aggregate site.
Omanga translated Blame from the French official releases into English, as I recall. That's why there's some uncertain terms or phrases in those initial volumes, and that's why it's left to right. France was still doing flipped physical releases at the time. They couldn't have flipped the pages back without fucking up some stuff that the Roman alphabet changed from the Japanese, even if they wanted to do so.

Abara had great interactions, dialogues, etc though. I dunno, I find it weird to think that Nihei's just been lucky with his writing.

As other anon pointed out, Nihei is more of ass kicking than dialogues and story-telling. Abara has more dialogues and character interactions, but the story told is quite simple and short.
Now with Sidonia no Penis, Nihei wanted to really told a story, have characters that felt real and that evolve. Maybe is because he is not used to(we all love him for his ass-kicking more than the stories he tell), but Nihei's narrative is awkward and obtuse.
And I think that's why he thinks his past works are bad.
But then again, Nihei haven't had much practice in that department and I want to keep reading him and see how he himself grows as mangaka.

Fanfiction. I personally surmised that Killy was testing his weapon at full power in order to assert test its maximum capacity. Killy cannot afford to learn the maximum capacity of his weapon during a hostile encounter and therefore must test it in advance. I assume that he does so automatically upon returning online after unknown potential damage. However I cannot know if that is the real reason and I cannot argue that it is definitely the truth. If I had made this clumsy sentence then your witty retort would have gotten me good. Sadly it is not the case and the original statement remains. You should not write something as a fact when it is not a fact. You should write opinions as opinions. This can be done by sprinkling an healthy dose of "I personally think" and "probably" and "potentially" in your sentence structure. You should also move these sentence to another document which is about opinions.
