Maybe it's nostalgia, but I love the original by Minmei. Ranka's cover doesn't even begin to compare.

They're both pretty good. I think Minmay is just a tad better since her voice is more ballad-ish, while Ranka's suits songs like Seikan Hikou a lot more.
