What are some of the most petty reasons you won't watch a particular anime, /a/?
I won't watch a show if it's being done by Shaft or Kyoani.
I won't watch a show if I don't see a thread of it on /a/ every day.

I've dropped airing shows I kind of liked because I fell too far behind and didn't want to sit through all the episodes necessary to catch up.

I won't watch a show if I don't like how it looks. For example I hate the eye style in Dagashi Kashi, so I'm never watching it. This is also why I won't go near Baki the Grappler or Higurashi. They look nasty.
