The problem is you are strawmanning this arguement. to get the Witch's Scent you have to have preformed in the past some genocidal actions as a prerequesite for it. Even then, if you read how fucked up the witch's cult is you'd get an idea what you need to be as a person and what actions you had to preform in order to get it.
