Hisoka is a main character. Chrollo is just a guy involved with a fan favourite hunter group. Hisoka surely has a better set up for the next story since it's mainly hunter vs hunter.
I'm going to say Hisoka won't die but he might not win the actual fight. Like he's going to hide in a bust up part of the stage and Texture Surprise his way out of it at least or use it as an attack at most.

He's more relevant to the plot of the 2 most integral characters than Chrollo is. Chrollo literally just spent 3 years of inactivity after appearing for a handful of chapters. He's only around because Hisoka needs to step up to a heavyweight hunter killer class and Bungee Gum and Texture Surprise won't work on experienced fighters. Gonna guess he has a new hatsu that will be used to beat Chrollo purely because he wouldn't be chasing someone he can't beat, as proven with the fact he backed down from Illumi.

Hisoka is indeed a pointless character atm, he is madness and his acts don't bear any meaning. Yet he was introduced since the beginning and has been involved in every single plot point, too much in fact, hunter exam and then bam, out of nowhere he is with the spider who are related to Kurapika. It's too convenient, the HxH world isn't centered around Gon and friends at all at the beginning.
All in all it would feel weird to have Hisoka die a death as meaningless as his existence is now. Chrollo feels quite pointless too actually, what are his motives?
He is as evil as Hisoka, if not more, so all in all I don't really see the point of this fight apart for the classic "build up" aspect, which is to introduce a powerful character only for him to be defeated by another character thus building up the fight against main char.
Like it is done many times in the baki tournament arc or any tournament arc

I assumed that meant if his victim died, not if nen removal occurred (which I assume does not alert kurapika since the nen is just consumed by the maggots).
And my point was that Uvo was just a pawn to Chrollo, Kurapika quickly sees that all the spiders were incredibly loyal to Chrollo so he can't really blame them for following orders.
Even with Chrollo, Kurapika showed mercy and tried to get him to stop killing. Kurapika doesn't want to kill, which is why I guessed that as a last resort Kurapika would torture/maim over kill (but this statement pissed off a lot of people for some reason).
If you people think Kurapika is 100% over the spiders you're sorely mistaken, he literally made a nen power gambling his life just for those fucks. Since he sealed Chrollo, his current goal became the eyes.
