The first season was pretty entertaining but I'm not sure I can stick with the series any further if it's just going to be more tweeny, yellow belly Harry Potter shenanigans. Are the other seasons worth watching? Does the show get any better?

The anime itself is okay, but it's nothing special really. It gets boring and dry fast, mainly because it stays the same mostly all the way through, and the plot is never really too "exciting" or enticing.The best thing it has going for it is the porn when that's done well

It changed things, as any adaptation does. It did not go with it's own original plot though, only the very last part of S4 was original to give the anime a proper ending that the novels were never going to get.
