I don't think it's a ripoff of anything or particularly bad considering the egregious shit that can be found out there (including Death Note, at least the second part)

The sentai shit felt like it dragged for a bit, I feel like the Deathnote duo are so used to writing for JUMP, that now that they got the freedom to go more darker in a monthly magazine, they forgot to make the characters interesting

I agree that Mirai Nikki had more of a psycological suspense, even if it was less grounded, it was a lot more enjoyable than Platinum End
