Shiro respected Sue enough to remember who she was. This is Shiro we are talking about, who forgot the names of every important character in the Demon world after meeting them. That whole ordeal is kind of hazy to me. I know that their objective was killing Julius and it was Blow's army fighting his army, but then why wasn't it Shiro's army. Maybe they only learned that Julius was at that fort after the invasion started.
