I think the remake will do the series good and perhaps might exceed the original if they don't fuck up the character designs. CGI is a good thing when it comes to things such as spaceships, it'll definitely be a massive improvement from the laser beams that looked rather poor in the original.

Depends on your interests. I for one am not interested in real life politics hence a show about fictional politics is not interesting for me. I did watch the entire show though, somehow.

I fucking love politics and philosophy about ideology, so the show for me is just a 10/10, with so many memorable characters and good ost.
