Seems kind of weird that the show is trying to show us a world wherein no one trusts each other and are highly paranoid about the idea of someone turning into a kabane. Yet when they see a woman who very obviously is one, they'll suddenly get all up in arms over her death just because she was pregnant? It'd be pretty clear understanding that they wouldn't be able to save the baby, it'd either also be infected by her blood, and if not, it's not like they had the man-power and/or equipment to perform a cesarean on a fucking zombie with super strength.

Being "illogical" and "one-dimensional" are the closest things you said to being writing flaws everyone could agree on, but you're going to need to offer your reasoning, or they're just empty words. Her actions, while violent and a bit unusual compared to other characters, don't actually seem "illogical," for example.

When they're in a post apocolyptic situation you wouldn't expect even a 12 year old to be carrying on like she does, she pretty much treats everything like it's a game. You could excuse that on her superhuman abilities, but she can barely use them for 2 minutes without having to stop and sleep, it's not like she's invincible.
If anything, her being younger would probably only make her situation worse for her emotionaly, knowing that she has to go and fight fucking zombies when she has only around 2 minutes of fighting time between breaks, as well as the fact that she has to drink the blood of humans, ((which she probably wouldn't have asked so aloofly if she acted like an actual person))

Mumei has not had enough screen time to even be explained beyond her abilities and personality. We still don't know where she came from initially, how she became cabaneri, what her mission is, or really anything. But goddamn it, because she doesn't do what you would do if you were in her universe with her abilities, she must be badly written. Shut the Fuck up, sit the fuck down, and watch the fucking show. Then you'll begin to understand the motivations of the character.

I'm not. I like the show. It's fun. I don't like people shitting on characters that haven't been fully fleshed out. It'd be one thing if the person just said, "I dislike the way she acts, I'd do it differently". Make judgements like that when you know the motivations and backstory of the character. If it's revealed that Mumei actually lived a drama free life, then one day she woke up as a habanero and automatically started being a bitch, bad writing can be implicated. But, if she lived a brutal life where her whole family died and she was the sole survivor and also a jalapeño, that may very well explain her bitchiness.

I don't get why this is even a criticism of Kabaneri. What anime DOESN'T have a dumb premise? Just look at the shit that's airing this season:

Really the only show I've seen this season that isn't completely dumb with its concept is Joker Game, because it's somewhat grounded in reality.

There's literally dozens of different anime across the past three decades with directly similar premises to this one, and countless more that're indirectly similar.
When you see the pattern, when you recognize the pattern, you set the bar:
1. The character does or says something unique and interesting that breaks the previously established pattern (muh deconstructions)
2. The character does or says something that's 100% in line with the pattern. (boring but acceptable)
3. The character shits all over the place and fags up the storyline with half-contrived bullshit and tropes. (worst outcome).
