TLR was a wildly popular shounen manga that ended abruptly because the artist got NTRed by a teenager on Nico Nico, and his whore wife ran off with his daughter and sued for rights to best girl.
After sorting all of that out, they were able to restart the manga, rebranded as TLR Darkness, in a new magazine that allows nipples. It's literally a direct continuation of the previous series; the name change is meaningless.

Its a sequel of the original TLR focused on two secondary character promoted to main and it is more hot (if the original is a comedy ecchi, this is nearly an hentai)
