There isn't indeed, but this kind of thing doesn't need to be serious so I don't see what's wrong with a few silly comments like this every so often. The manga translation scene already has way too much drama anyway.
Of course, this entire opinion goes away if those silly notes get in the way of things, change meanings or are used way too often. Kill kill kill.
