He doesn't get to keep exp. He's stuck at level 1 unless he's temporarily boosted by absorbing levels from party members. Grinding doesn't work for him.

Here is the thing, excuse the ESL.
They 'hero' is in a RPG, he is lv1 and can't level up because is class is a special class which his only skill is hero compensation. This skill allows him to level up from his mates who are dead in his party, once he use this skill to kill a monster he comes back lv1. He is supposed to kill a lord demon or something but he is too retarded and he always make a party and end up fighting a monster so he kills his team every time.
