Can somebody plot a graph of Goku's power level relative to time? Gero made his androids with the assumption that Gokus power was going to keep rising in the time it took him to build them (but didn't take into account Namek), so how strong did he think Goku was going to be?
Frieza falls in love with Goku.

That's 80 times stronger over the course of a year. Using this data, Gero should have been able to predict Goku being at 2560000 after a year, and 12800000
after the 5 years it would eventually take to release the Androids.
This works out, given that a heavy kick from base Vegeta was enough to damage 19 visibly, and Super Saiyan Goku and Vegeta both wreckd 19.
