She did however do the wrong thing by succumbing to despair. Saying this as a Sakura fan.
But also however, she did fight the influence longer than most 99% of people would have. But it was still the hurt she had in her heart that was as strong as the power of the blackening shattering her reasoning.
She makes mistakes, but so did the other protagonists. Shirou and Rin got perfectly trolled by Kirei and Zouken and helped break her down unknowingly, Rin in particular kind of refused most attempts Sakura made to clear the estrangement they had, despite her internal resentment. Rin mistakenly told Shirou all the things she should have told Sakura face to face.
Most forget the times she sacrificed her health and remaining life to help Shirou, quietly and without asking for anything in return. It's Rider that makes Shirou aware Sakura is much worse off than she lets on. Or the best scenes she had where you see she is actually a pretty cool girl, where she talks to Shirou about what being a magus means to her and what she thinks about Rin. And surprise to the people who think she is all jealously and spite, it's an honest and loving assessment! Who would have thought that she loved the sister whose ribbon she kept pristine every day, and she wasn't just a mass of jealousy and malice?
HF was a story about how destructive lack of information and a team without cohesion can be broken pretty easily.
