Is it just me or is watching anime while impaired on any sort of drug (alcohol included) the worst thing ever? It's like every shitty trope because overly apparent.

I can watch fucking anything when I'm drunk, but when I'm high, I actually prefer animated media. Watching live actors becomes almost painful, because I can't look past how fake everything really is.

i dunno OP i got drunk this morning and watched love live and it was amazing. i really got into the drama. i got wasted tho and ended up passing out an hour or so after all that.
Anime is at least twice as good when drunk. Especially SoL/Comedy.
Nothing like watching cute girls do cute things while drunk, seriously. Only times I cried watching anime were while drunk. First time was I think K-On, and more recently it was Hidamari and also Shirobako.
Of course most of the time I just find everything cuter, more happy, and much funnier.

SoL with weed is extremely boring, it's even slower than sober. On the other hand action anime and comedy where stuff happens is pretty cool.

Alcohol makes anime a little better.
Alcohol + Anime is a great combo, Comedy shows are much funnier and shows that generate hype are amazing.
LSD + Anime is another great combo, Especially SoLs and Healing shows. Watching Redline on acid was the best expirience of my life.

I honestly can't get past all of the horrible tropes unless I've been drinking heavily.
Macross Delta would be completely unwatchable if I didn't have booze and the visuals weren't so entertaining
