Chihiro was the best choice to end the series on. Not that other girls weren't just as good or deserving, Chihiro just felt right.

Was fantastic until the Goddess Arc, then proceeded to be kind of bad until the Time Travel Arc, at which point it became god-awful.
I still am curious whether it was the author or editor's fault for completely ruining things. The end half of TWGOK almost feels like the kind of thing the first half was meant to be parodying

I liked the capture stories - quickly "conquering" various types of girls before jumping to the next one with a fairly steady pacing was fun. However, the whole goddess arc killed my interest in the manga since it stopped introducing girls and they really weren't good enough characters to justify the amount of focus they got again in the Goddess arc. I didn't even care by the time it ended.

I love the anime, and the manga was excellent up until the time travel arc. TWGOK is my favorite anime/manga of all time but I literally cannot tell you what happened at all during that boring slog of an arc.
It's a little sad we'll never see the girls between season 2 and 3 also.
Is there any hope at all for more in the series? I know Manglobe is gone but I'm not too familiar with studios closing down and giving the anime rights elsewhere, what happened, is there any chance for more?

I only watched the anime, never read the manga. It's a very good series overall; the tone of the goddess arc threw me for a loop at first but I liked that they brought back the girls from the first season. The ending also got me real good.
All in all, Chihiro is without a doubt best girl, but Shiori will always be second in my heart

It was a good anime, and while it had a great execution in start had a horrible write-off in the end.
Not so much in the choice of the ending, but rather the execution of how he tried to end it. It's actually a bit deeper kinda thing
