Most people aren't frustrated with Aereus because he stopped, but because of the possibility that the cause of him stopping was pathetic and whiny.
Scanlators and such drop series all the time and most often people don't get TERRIBLY fussy about it. Real life happens, lack of interest happens, and so on and you push the series hoping it gets picked up again.
If it's scanlator drama, however (which this seems to be), don't be surprised if people think that's bullshit. I'm sure most everyone is grateful considering Aereus was thanked every single week, but bullshit is bullshit and there's nothing wrong with calling it out.
