There are a lot of missed opportunities (especially in Ciel's route). Kohaku's route towards the end was mostly a wrap up for the story rather than substantially changing anything like Heaven's Feel. I still enjoyed it, which may be up to my preferences (I also thought Sakura was best girl).

I managed to trace some obscure forum post that mentioned how the poster had managed to inject some code into the engine or something and made a kind of McGuyvery autoread, but there wasn't any link or actionable intelligence for me to follow up on.
The lack of an autoread function is seriously preventing me from finishing the damn VN. I don't always keep autoread on, but sometimes it gives my fingers a welcome break from clicking when my brain still wants to keep reading.

One aspect of the writing that I respect in most of Type Moon's series is that they never provide truly satisfying endings, only bittersweet ones. In Heaven's Feel's case,Saber is still stuck in her perpetual cycle of fighting wars, now without the possibility of redemption. Shirou is a doll and Sakura is cucking her sister.In Kohaku's case,the ending just came at a nice time, for Arc and Ciel are still looking for Roa, and will eventually notice it in Akiha.Neither of them are truly rosy endings, but instead only good endings for the particular girl in the route.

They'd both be mentally fucked up after the shit in Heaven's Feel. That's not to say they could never be happy, but it felt too sudden from a narrative perspective. Getting the epilogue from Sakura or Shirou's POV would be a big improvement, as would giving us more information about what happened to them after the war (like how Shirou dealt with Illya's sacrifice, I'm still a little confused on what being a puppet really means for Shirou) would help make it more satisfying.
Overall, I prefer the Normal End (including the Kotomine fight). If only it had a conclusion for Illya, it would be a great ending imo.

I think an interesting option for an Illya route would be Heaven's Feel up until Shirou makes his choice and chooses Mind of Steel. Rin kills Sakura, Shirou goes to kill Illya (god knows how because he's pretty much powerless at this point) but ultimately can't.
Starting a Shirou that's pretty close to Kiritsugu would be interesting for how Illya would react, as would having him choose her after the fact and do what Kiritsugu couldn't.
