Arc-V just suffered animation problems and even then it had never had good animation before the movie was announced.
All the things people are complaining about are the anime staff's fault. Kamishiro can't write anymore and Ono's directing is trash. Also all the voice actors are on a contract so they're paid up front before they start voice recording. It's all Ono's fault for deciding to give some characters more spotlight over other more important characters cough*Reiji*cough. People never listened to me but Arc-V's biggest flaw was it's huge cast and the addition of nostalgia characters only further served to exacerbate that.
Arc-V is wasted potential but not the movie's fault.

It's not created partially. All that happens is a plan to green-light the movie is created, a budget is given to the movie, and roles are assigned to the staff. Then the movie is formally announced and work starts.
While the movie took Arc-V animators it didn't take any writers at all. Kaz is the only one who wrote the movie and he never worked on Arc-V.
The writing problems are still on Arc-V and the showed aired for a fair while before the movie was formally announced at Jump Festa in Fall 2014 and you could tell the animation wasn't at a very high quality level.

I don't get this card's ritual summoning, Why is a Dark Magician card listed on it, is it because it originally belonged to Yugi? The only Dark Magician Ritual is Magician of Black Chaos and there's no reason to run that or a new form or the now unlimited Dark Magician of Chaos. Yugi didn't even use anything we didn't already see from him in this movie while Kaiba used Krystal Dragon, a level 6 blue eyes looking monster that does nothing special.
In fact, Yugi's duel was pretty underwhelming, I mean, yeah he kicked Kaiba and Aigami's asses by himself but he did it the practical way with stalling, cutting their attack points and various spells and traps instead of the flashy way that the other protagonists win their duels such as with a new boss monster.

Yusho and Yoko adopted Yuya and he coaxed Shuzo to adopt Yuzu.
He planned on them falling for each other by having them spend a ton of time together while knowing Yuya would try to emulate him, a ladies-man.
He did this so when Leo would eventually take Yuzu it would make Yuya enraged.
The whole plot has been orchestrated by Yusho specifically to bring about Genesis Omega Dragon.
Yoko is well-aware of the plot, which is why out of everyone in the audience during Yuya's first public duel against Strong Ishijima she didn't have any doubts or looks of worry.
This is also why Reiji and Yoko had to reset Yuya's learning, because if he tried to go full-Darkness too soon it would alert Leo of Yusho's hidden weapon. ("If you let those strong emotions overcome you in the battlefield, you will lose." "Bring smiles to everyone.")

As interesting as that is, you do know the majority of Anzu's duels if not all were basically filler and did nothing for her character in the aftermath. 1) She beat Jonuchi because he knew nothing about the game and we all know in his recent position he would beat her. 2) Mai threw the match to her when it looked like she was going to win. 3) Her life/death death with the penguin guy was going to her regardless of plot. Sure the other girls except Kotori has been in more duels than her has lost some but at least they are shown what kind of impact they have.
