I just finished watching this ep. Though it was good for buttering people up but I was somewhat disappointed with the final product of the fourth episode.
I would have enjoyed if they followed a little bit more closely to the WN, from what I imagined reading it, in likelyness to the manga which portrayed it better. But we will see what happens by mid-second or beginning of the third arc, I hope that Whitefox will develop a better episode next time. As I would like to see just a tad better portrayal of their faces and atmosphere.
Not to mention they missed alot of character interactions and plot development within the fourth episode which disservices Remfags, such as myself, and made the characters come across as both generic and annoying. This episode was crucial for fleshing out the characters but they decided to squeeze in a cliffhanger which ultimately made the episode feel rushed. Not to mention if they do not by the fifth episode the audience will again no sympathy for the characters and this series will tank.
Also, WHY THE FUCK did they not include his internal monologue? They could have done that least that bit right.
I just hope Whitefox will get their priorities straight and make the second arc a 1:1 scale just like the first arc. But this is NOT starting off on the right foot.

Took the words right outta my fucking mouth. I am absolutely buttblasted with what Whitefox has done in the fourth episode. The events following up to his death are much too important to butcher. Not only did they miss important character developments they also did fuckall with some key plot points between the maids and Subaru that will be important later on in the story.
If they wanted to showcase his death and have more impact it should have been done at the end or during the fifth episode.
