I tried watching the older tetsujin-28, but then I saw there was a version done by our lord and savior Imagawa and decided to watch that instead. It was really good, but holy shit I didn't realize just how much Giant Robo the animation pulled from Tetsujin.
I'm fairly confident GTO is like 50 episodes long.

I've been watching Zeta Gundam recently. I don't see why people hate it so much I'm only on episode 36 or so, but it's solid so far.
Also Katz may be a fuck up but it's fun watching his stupidity.

I'm watching the last 2 episodes of Mazinger Z tonight. Having watched Mazinger, Devilman, Cutey Honey, and Polymar, I can say that the Tatsunoko series was much more fun to watch than the Toei ones.
Other than that, the oldest show I'm watching is Abenobashi.

And is it just me or is Crinn actually a pretty shitty pilot? He gets hit all the time, and if he was piloting anything other than Dougram he would've died many times over. If he lived in the UC Gundam universe, he would have been Brightslapped for "relying on his machine too much".

I've slowly been working through Gundam in production order. Started watching 0079 in late October last year.
Just starting Victory now. Shakti is cute but a little annoying.
Looking forward to Turn A, 08th MS Team and G Gundam (maybe by the time I finish Victory, the newly announced Blu-Rays for G will be subbed).

My goal is talking though, not to get anybody to watch a stream though so it's entirely what you want to do. It is just for the convenience of anyone interesting since it is something that some people like to do if they're watching something as a group and it's not a seasonal thing. Not sure why I'm emphasizing this so much, but you are entirely free to go at your own speed and watch alone without ever touching a stream

Super Dimension Fortress is pretty great. You can see early Gainax cutting their teeth on key animation sequences, and the story is classic and good.

The first thing you watch is the TV series SDF Macross and DYRL is the movie retelling of all the events in the TV series but really fucking pretty. It's pretty simple, TV first then movie
Don't know if the really fucking pretty line tipped you off but DYRL is not a compilation like the first Eva or Ideon movies. Generally follows the same beats as SDF but is not exactly the same
