I watched the first three/four episodes last night.
Was a fun ride. The MC is surprisingly down to earth and likeable; for an LN protagonist anyway, he actually has a personality. There was me thinking it was gonna follow in the vein of Dungeon ni Deai. The sword master guy is kind of a fag though.

It will go all the way to arc 3, since the WN is still ongoing with 4+ arcs after arc 3. There would be no way to fit everything within 25 episodes unless you want to completely butcher the story. What Whitefox is doing is fantastic due to the anime and the WN/LN being on a 1:1 scale of each other.

Not to sound edgy, but I like these kind of stories, generic MC gets into generic situations (fantasy world, school harem, sci-fi war) then bam snap back to reality, whooop there goes gravity. I dunno, maybe I'm just tired of all the same garbage the elevens put out that I actually want to see how a generic MC fares in a (pseudo) realistic situation. Then get fucked in the face for all his deluded ideals.
Yeap, the generic MC becomes less generic as well, the series brings alot of character development to the MC.

Premise is basically impossible to fuck up, no points awarded there.
Action scenes are surprisingly well choreographed.
Constant pointing out of cliches is very irritating, almost made me drop it. It is not any more clever or funny than actually having the cliches.

From their point of view, the only thing this show has going for it right now is the resurrection time jump gimmick. Aside from that it's been a pretty generic story about a hikikomori who was summoned into a different world to get a harem so far. Subaru even showed harem protagonist-levels of density by needing to die three times to realize his powers.
