What don't people like about this show?
The power has shown one cool fight with the game of chicken, it doesn't feel overpowered so far.
Setting is fine and characters are fine too.
How can this get rated so badly?

Dude 90% of episode two doesn't even make sense.
For example, she points a gun to his head and tells him to stop, as if she could shoot him, even though we just established that this can't.
Or a bunch of people getting killed for a "test"
And the absolute exposition vomit, blah it was absolutely terrible.

I do like the show quite a bit, but it really isn't exceptional in any way. While the premise is fun I can't think of anything about it that isn't mediocre. It would probably be showered with praise if it aired during the winter season, but with so many competing anime of much higher quality it doesn't stand out and its shortcomings are much more obvious.
So, I like it, but I'm not going to praise it when it isn't in any way deserving of praise.
