Well, Negima not only have all of this, but it also ends during the introduction arc. It doesn't even serve as introduction to the manga because the anime adapted 0 of plot.
You won't even know Negima is an action series by the anime.

Well I watched it mainly because everyone seemed to hype the shit out of it and at the time of airing some of my friends talked about nothing else, so I decided to give it a shot.
Dropped it halfway through though and only finished it a few weeks back just to have it of my "currently watching" list.
I think it had it's few moments, but judging by how I barely remember anything that happaned it probablly wasn't that good

Yeah, the Naruto-loving teenagers and fujoshits loved the shit out of this butchered version, and it may mislead anyone with actual taste into thinking it was great.
If you thought the basic theme was intriguing, just the execution was a bit meh or it was shallow, then I want to advise you to try out the manga. It has a slow start, but once it gets started, it pretty much gets started.
If it's simply not your kind of thing, and the entire basic plot is not in any way interesting to you, then I'd say leave it.

Take your time. It's 143 chapters for the original and 70+ for the sequel.
Is slow the first 20-something chapters, then slowly picks up. Chapter 60ish is an important turning point. You're partially knowledgeable with it already. For the stuff that happens in season 1, it's really just the same, except that the anime cuts out important characterization and plot details. (RC gates)

It has it's moments, but overall, Oreimo was a pretty disappointing anime compared to it's source material. It skipped so much, and jacked Kirino's tsun so high people who watch the anime only see her as an unlikable bitch, and not the way she was supposed to be

The twist was nice, but it left so many plot holes. And the last 2 panels of the mana were cut out of the last episode, making it really incomplete and cliffhangery. But overall I enjoyed it. A little more character development would a been nice though
