They must have toned down the violence fter entering the New World though. Fucking Zoro managed to get a bounty that rivals other Supernova Captains. His used to be the 2nd lowest pre-Ts and that was only because Urouge had a symbolic bounty. Now his bounty is up there with Hawkin's and just shy of Apoo's.

Well, Luffy is actively trying to make Shanks the "final boss" of his adventure, and Shanks himself seems to be aware of it and is enforcing it, so yeah don't expect him to play an important role any time soon unless is something like during the war.
And I expect Luffy to go "Hey Shanks, get out here, I wanna drink some sake and kick your ass" and then they will party and drink for a straight week and share memories and shit and then they will go on an all-out battle.
Usopp vs Yasopp and Luffy vs Shanks is a given but for the rest of the crew is hard to tell, there's a theory around that Mihawk is secretly part of Shanks' crew so that could be Zoro's fight but the rest are anyone's guess.
