Nah. For a long time now Gintama had low rankings in the comedic arcs and then high rankings- usually in the top 5 or near it - in the serious ones.
It's just that when it changed to full serious mode, although it got an initial boost, it started slipping in the rankings and now generally is even lower than it was before in the comedic arcs.
Just seems like Jump readers got tired of it altogether.

You know, BnHA really is not that generic. Black Clover is out and out fully derivative, however, and I don't understand why people pretend it isn't.
Furthermore it's pointless to mention "generic, generic" and ignore "execution", because while BnHA is certainly not wholly original it at least has strong execution in a lot of what it does.
