I miss pre-Dana UQ Holder.
I was perfectly fine (happy, even) with that arc focusing more on relationships and drama, but the hyperfocus on Negi and the harem stuff for the last thirty or so chapters since that arc has been a major drag.
I preferred when it was a semi-dark series about a bunch of immortals trying to make the world better after magic and the opening up of space made it rot, with harem and love as a subplot more than a main focus.I'm also starting to get worried that the tournament arc will feed directly into confronting the MotB and Negi, and the series will end right there.

I agree. I feel like a lot less of the panels have any detail in the backgrounds too, but that might just be because Ken hasn't bothered to do that for comedic reaction panels ever since early Negima to try make them 'pop' more, and not due to laziness.

Nah, the sale is fine and Ken isn't having any problem with the publisher this time. So the series won't end anytime time, especially when he gave us a lot of hints about future event. After dealing with Negi and MoTB, maybe we will meet the white hair shota noble and move to the nobles arc.

I wouldn't be too certain on that. I remember that he said he didn't want UQ Holder to be as long as Negima, right? We're about 1/3rd the length of Negima as is. I don't think we'll get MoTB and Negi handled till end of series if the precedent in Negima is anything to go by. We'll probably just get some more hints and stuff scattered across the manga.
