While Super's been kind of a mixed bag for me, this episode was fucking excellent in every way.
Goku in that red and blue form was just a perfect way of demonstrating just how far he's come, with the red representing his very first technique, and the blue representing his very last. Like he's mixing his classic powers with his god powers and ascending beyond anything anyone expected. When the theme tune kicked in I fucking knew it was going to be hype. I hope the show continues to be this impressive, because honestly this episode was really great.
I didn't make it for the episode, but let me clear something up: Everyone talks as if SSB+KK was some new form. Did he use it once and held it through a long time, or just used it a couple of times in short bursts like in Sayian Saga?

What you people tend to forget is that Frieza was laying down the pain on Goku for a large part of their battle and that much of a beating takes it's toll, to paraphrase Hit, "Take to many hits and you're going down anyway".
The entire reason Goku beat Frieza was because of Frieza's inexperience with the form and the power drain of it rather than being more powerful than Frieza.
That whole battle was essentially Vegeta vs 18 for the first part without the exposition.
