Moeka is luring Akeno by pretending to be in need of help. While Musashi and Harukaze are stationary and Moeka and Akeno are busy talking, a submarine will come sneaking up on Harukaze, trying to blow them the fuck up. Somehow, they will manage to drop the depth charge right where they wanted it to and manage to destroy/avert the submarine. After this Akeno feels betrayed by Moeka and leaves, with Moeka choosing not to fire/pursue them because Akeno is her friend. Oh yeah the episode ends with the German chick waking up and shouting "Akeno!".
I actually got goosebumps at the end of the episode.

Nah that's going to be saved for the finale.
Nobody dies throughout the season, just a load of near-scrapes where everyone pulls through, sinking the viewer into a comfort zone as they grow attached to everyone.
They confront the training instructor at the end who, in anger and a lapse of judgement, pulls out a gun and shoots at Akeno. But Moeka, always there to protect her friend, dives and takes the bullet. Akeno is left to cradle her childhood friend in her arms, tears falling down her cheeks as she apologizes over and over for failing to protect her crew. Moeka's last words are that she is proud of her, and she always knew she'd make a great Captain and a great Blue Mermaid.
Cue sad music and flashbacks to their promise while Akeno sobs and shakes Moeka's body, telling her to wake up and that she can't become a Blue Mermaid without her.

I had enough with anon being idiotic and not knowing what is proper helm command. You don't say starboard or port to the helm. You say Right (left) rudder. Normally, you are looking at 30 degrees for full rudder.
You will give the command, and then check back with the conning officer as well. The conning officer will repeat the command.
