So how many chapters a week do you read, /a/?
Anime-only fags need not apply.
>>
>>140207435
Probably 1-200 in a normal week.
>>
It depends on how many series get an update. If I were to go through all of my bookmarks I'm sure I'd find over 500 manga that I'm relatively up to date with. There's no way I can give you a number.
>>
>>140207435
Zero. I like monthly manga more
>>
1-60. Depends if I find something that intrests me.
I never keep up with ongoinh stuff and just waiy for at least several chapters to pile up.
>>
>>140207547
That's a wide range.
I read around 120-200, depends if I'm focusing on catching up with something or just reading the updates.
>>
>>140207590
>Zero. I like monthly manga more
Are you dumb?
>>
>>140207435

Don't know.

I follow at least 60 ongoing manga, but many of them are published irregularly or monthly at best. Sometimes I also catch up on old manga.
>>
>>140207435
EOPs need not apply either.
>>
>>140207547
>>140207670
I meant 100-200, if that wasn't clear.
>>
Updates and dead groups are so slow that you must enjoy eating shit (art) if you can actually find more than 20 new chapters a week to read, unless you magically stumble across a series that you missed.
>>
>>140207877
>>140207590
You do realize that most people reading over a few dozen are presumably marathoning stuff and not just reading new updates, right?
>>
>>140207877
To be fair there are a lot of old gems.
>>
>>140207877
>I read 12 whole different series and that's a lot
>I also think good art = good manga
>>
So how many manga are you fags reading raw straight off a magazine release?
>>
>>140207997
Just Yotsuba.
>>
>>140207997
I don't know nip. I need to learn it, I have too many things I want to pick up or finish that won't be translated any time soon.
>>
>>140208022
At least pick something else up to go along with it Anon-kun.
>>
>>140207997
Does anyone even scan whole magazines?
>>
>>140208072
I wish, but I don't think my japanese allows for more.
I do try to read some other stuff from time to time, though.
>>
>>140207435
i read a lot and i can not get past like 50 a week anymore there isn't even enough interesting shit to fill the void
>>
The people who said 501+ were mostly lying, right?
>>
>>140208038
i never really bothered learning
i literally picked up hiragana and katakana simply from game audio saying text
i could watch shit mostly fine, so i just use raw manga if i come across an early link
>>
Who the fuck can afford to ready 500 fucking chapters a week? What the fuck are they even going through?
>>
>>140207435
201-500, I haven't found any good series lately so instead of doing 500+ I just read millions of words. W/N & L/N
>>
>>140208266
Probably a lot of them were, but it's not like it's an impossible amount. You could read on a decent bus commute and then two hours before bed, and that alone would probably get you through 200 or more chapters before counting the weekend.
>>
>>140208470
To put in perspective I've resorted to gook shit so I prefer reading, the last thing I read was Knight's Run which was decent, easily 500+ but of course they don't do pages properly.

>he can't read moon
>he doesn't read old completed manga
Still have the audacity to call others out on enjoying shit. What a joke.
>>
It really depends on how much completed manga I end up reading as well. 1-200 doesn't sound that ridiculous.

>>140208266
That'd be like re-reading Gantz every week. Sure I did it in three days originally, but doing that every week? You'd have to either be reading a lot of garbage, shounenshit and have your mind set on exactly which series you wanted to read.
>>
>>140207435
Either zero or a whole fucking lot because I only read finished manga.

The pacing of weekly and especially monthly manga kills me, so I just read it when its done.
>>
>>140208453
That's only about 50 volumes, when I'm marathoning I can read 30 volumes in a day easily.
>>
>>140207435
Depends on the scan speed and how many chapters I'm in.
If I choose to pick up a long running manga starting from zero, it's easily 200 chapters in roughly 2 days

>>140207435

>>
>>140208660
It's not like you have to pick either one or the other, you know.
>>
>>140207670
>just reading the updates
>120
Wow. I mean, I've got a lot of technically ongoing things I'm following, but most of them don't even update once a month, forget once a week.
>>
>>140207435
I don't read shit for months, and then binge 200+ per week until I catch up or burn out
>>
Anyone else love/hate with manga? I have no control and will stay up and do nothing for two days reading 400 chapters of an on going, then not have the patience or forget about the series during the month long hiatuses and translating periods.
>>
>>140208757
I actually meant reading the stuff that got updated, so if a manga is updated I read a few chapters without catching up.
With updates alone it would be around 50-60.
>>
>>140208878
Sounds like you are obsessing over a single series.
>>
>>140208120
Yes. You can find them on nyaa
>>
>>140207435
None. Light novels are better than manga
>>
>>140208660
>>140209599
Not much into LN, do they adapt into anime the shittiest ones or what's the deal?
There are many good adaptations from LN to manga, can't say the same for anime.
>>
>>140209667
>do they adapt into anime the shittiest ones
They like to adapt harems LN a lot, while completely ignoring other types of light novels. I really don't understand why nips love shitty harem LNs so much
>>
>>140209468
Nice joke.
>>
>>140210170
Not a joke. Just type in search box. For example :
>Jump SQ
https://www.nyaa.se/?page=search&cats=0_0&filter=0&term=jump+SQ
>Weekly Shonen Jump
https://www.nyaa.se/?page=search&cats=0_0&filter=0&term=Weekly+Shonen+Jump
>>
>>140207435
Eh never though about it but I guess average is 3-5 new chapters I follow get released everyday. Finishing complete manga that's like 400-600 chapters is another matter but I pretty much read everything I wanted since it's been years.
>>
Assuming latest only, 20-30 chapters and bunch of old ones that I haven't read or want to re-read.
