I tried to watch the anime but couldn't get into it. I have read the manga though, as far as the English scans go, and it's decent fun, although a little repetitive.

I did, but it just doesn't appeal to me like CH does. The worst thing about it is the way it changed the backstory of some of the characters, especially Makimura'swho in CH had a badass death, but in Angel Heart gets killed by some bitch ass stalker with parental issues.

Both. Anime is the best adaptation there is. It's pretty much the manga with voice acting.
For Cat's Eye the manga has much more elements and characters though.
I'm currently about 10 episodes in to City Hunter 2... I love it so far the only thing I don't care for is how repetitive some of the episodes seem.
