Even if the delivery can sometimes be amateurish (but some also are really quite professional), above over types of translation I think English versions can be interesting because you really HAVE to change the lyrics - if you just do a literal line reading it'll rarely scan properly and sound awful - so adjusting the text while keeping the spirit can lead to interesting results.
