I really liked Marnie.
The ending was a little too happy, but I like the idea of protagonists that are actually pretty shitty people because of their own problems and baggage.
It seemed brave to me to do this since nowadays I get the feeling one of the top priorities is to make main characters as appealing as possible, not only in anime.

Aside from the usual Ghibli issue of injecting modern morality into it (especially annoying in old settings, whenever anyone does this) the fucking love triangle was utter bullshit, and the movie was drawn out.
It's funny, I found Zun's spin on the story to be far more enjoyable than this bullshit that someone probably got paid far more to write the script for.
