Is there a scarier in anime than The Groke?
>the groke
Mörkö, you nigger.

Muumis are Finnish, thus, Mörkö.
>>140084846
Muumis were made by a fennoswede.
Thus Morran is the canon name.

I didn't think she was scary because I loved the ost. Heard the news Moomins will return, hurray. Hope in anime format of course.

Does anyone knows what VHS i watched as a kid?
It was the same animation as Moomin, i think it might even be the same universe.
It was kinda a "musical" i think. I remember people was fishing, then a giant appered and starts talking to the main character
I can't remember the name, but it was so good

It's Morra in Russian translation by the way. Never knew what's her original name.
>>140089420
It's Morran
>>140086299
who would outfreeze who?

Even the Groke fears the Ice Lady. The Groke is just wretched and lonely, while the Ice Lady is an eldritch abomination that mercilessly hunts down and kills anyone who sees her.

Actually, the first ever published Moomin novel was originally written in Swedish and was published in that language by a company named Schildts (which was a Finnish company even though all the literature published by the company was written in Swedish). All the subsequent novels and the comic strips were originally written in Swedish as well.
So there is definitely an argument saying that, Morran instead of Mörkö could be considered more correct, since the Swedish name Morran is the character's original name.
I'm not sure about how involved Tove Jansson was in the translation of her works from Swedish to Finnish, though.

The fuck is this?
>>140093298
Really dude?
You are in a Moomin thread and you haven't even seen the first episode
>>140085183
nice!
>>140092157
Mumin is definitely Swedish property.
But you could argue that it's Fennoswedish or even Finnish in some ways just because of how much it borrows from Finnish mythology.
>>140095250
It is definitely not Swedish property.
t. Fennoswede

Who did he murder?
>>140084735
I wonder what's her name in Japanese.
>>140086299
When I read the book I imagined her to be very beautiful. She was described as a beautiful lady. But in anime she suddenly became a creepy monster.
