On the other hand, Asta lucked into getting his special ability "just because" and then for some reason he tells a kid that working hard will achieve your dreams. To our knowledge, what grimoire you get has nothing to do with how hard you work.

Bakugou however doesn't consider him a friend, first he was a pathetic wimp to be bullied and now he's a rival who dared to humilliate him. Or maybe deep down he does consider him a friend but all his huge mental issues don't allow him to see it.
Bakugou is developing at glacial speed but I'm sure eventually they will be BFFs or at least have a more healthy relationship.

Bakugou HATES Deku. Whatever friendly affection he had for him is long gong and has been since replaced with seething rage. Bakugou is kind of more like Vegeta, but even then not really. He's a bully with a complex about his strength.
