Why don't we have this in the west

That's so cute
>>
I can't even remember what this show is called but I liked it.
>>
>>140066691
Currently watching it, seems really good, weird that this went under the radar on /a/ but I guess shoujo are not discussed that much
>>
>>140066636
So, how long does shampoo smell stay after you bath?
>>
>>140066888
You'd know this if you showered regularly
>>
>>140066888
Depends on the type.
My hair usually retains a faint smell of fruit 8-9 hours into the day.

But we do. The whole thing that set off the romance in Twilight was based around scent.

Really wish I didn't know this.
>>
>>140066636
We do have this in the west. People just don't go around saying "I LOVE HOW THAT GUY SMELLED", it's a private thought.
>>
>>140066928
I shower every day at 7. By 12, my hair has a sweat smell.
>>
>>140066991
>people don't go around saying this
I've had girls say it to me. Mainly because they're just jealous about my superior hair genetics.
>>
>>140066928
It depends heavily on the shampoo and soaps used. For the cheap shit I always use the scent doesn't last long at all.
But then again it's hard to tell since my brain will filter out the smell if it did linger.
>>
>>140067030

The anime just wasn't good.
Everything about it was average. It was really forgettable.
I really really really liked the style they used in your image, but that was pretty rare.
I remember liking the MC at first but then she got boring after a few episodes.
But I barely remember anything about it.
>>

>19
>about 15% of my hair is whitening

FUCK
>>
>>140066815
I watched this about a year ago and it's so forgettable that the only thing I remember about it is being frustrated that there was hardly any character or relationship development by the time the show ended. Have you looked into 12-Sai and Nijiiro Days? They're shaping up to be quite good.
>>
Anyone watch the live action?

And the manga already ended.

Shoujo OPs and EDs are usually nice and/or comfy.

https://youtu.be/cZZMLUG3vzc
>>
>>140066888
I can never smell it in my own hair or on anyone else, it feels like a meme but maybe it just depends on the shampoo. Perfume stays in your hair a while though, it's nice.

You've just went past your limit or are developing superpowers.
>>

No. shoujo are too sour for /a/ to talk.
>>
>>140067146

You get acclimated to the smell and don't notice it, but others do.

Your room probably smells like semen, but you're so used to it now that it smells like nothing to you, but other people can probably smell it right away.
>>
>>140066888
Shampoo marketed towards men? It should never make you smell like anything.
Shampoo marketed towards women? You'll smell like apricot Why is it always fucking apricot? for several hours.

Fuck it, speaking of shampoos and hair, how do you get rid of dandruff?

I've been having trouble with it for a while. Changing my diet and doing more physical activity doesn't seem to do anything.

Just grab a bucket or plastic chair, sit on it after you soap up your legs and shave away. It's definitively more time consuming and harder than on a bath but it is possible.

Honestly, you should either epilate or wax it. Shaving won't last more than one day if you are a man.

My hair kinda long too. I decided to let it grow and it's about shoulder length now. It's on that awkward long but not long enough for it to be real long nor long enough so you can play around with it for fun hairstyles. It's really annoying but I love it nonetheless. Playing with it with my index finger is specially fun.

For untangling just use a wide-teeth comb. Also, don't untangle it while it is wet because that damages it.

Personally, my biggest issue with my hair is that it is a bit dry and fluffy as hell. Now that's a pain in the ass to take care of. Frizz can go die.

Not that expensive. It's like, $50/hr for my top-tier tech.

Takes probably around 1k-2k to finish both legs and that's more expensive than, say, your arms or torso. Totally worth it, and hey, you'd probably spend that much on shaving equipment anyway. The problem is that once you're getting your legs done and you start seeing results, you'll want to get your torso done, then your face, then your arms, and before you know it you're on hormones and transitioning.

Just make sure you have self-control.
>>
>>140071889
> That image.

Holy shit literally my life. I literally look my best with organized bedhead. A few spritzes of water to shape it a bit and get rid of the frizz and I'm solid. If I'm going on a date or important social outing I'll spend more time on it and actually style it.

> Also, don't untangle it while it is wet because that damages it.

I've heard the opposite. Use a wide-tooth comb while it's wet and conditioned. Just make sure you're holding the upper part of the strand so you don't yank it. YMMV depending on how strong your hair is, I guess.
>>
>>140071915
Face, legs and torso are the only places I'd truly consider. Maybe my privates too but I have no idea how would that work. Arm hair is usually pretty light so just a hair-removal cream should work wonders for a good while.

>hormones and transitioning
The thing with pretty pills is that, well, they are not pretty pills. More often than not you'll look like an in-between mess unless you started either very young or are pretty as a guy anyway.

Most of all, those things fuck you up, hard, specially mentally. If they were just pretty pills that turned me into a female-me then I'd go all the way with them but right now the downsides are much bigger than the upsides.

Not at all. Just don't get a shitty tech who uses a high intensity level.

>>140072216
Pretty much. Generally speaking, the only thing important when it comes to pretty pills is bone structure. If you have good bone structure, even if you're fat or whatever, you'll eventually be a qt.

Would not recommend transitioning to anyone if you have any of the following: big feet (larger than a size 10 women's US), big hands (esp. relative to wrists and the rest of the arm), a barrel chest, an underbust above 32" (avg. for non-overweight women is 30"~), superbroad shoulders (broadish isn't a killer if your torso is good), a long face (impossible to fix, even with FFS), or a fat mannish chin.

If you're one of the lucky few with none of them, you'll probably pass and be a qt with no issue. You might struggle to beforehand because of fat distribution (which makes a huge difference, but won't turn a hon into a hottie), but you definitely won't afterward, especially if you dress appropriately. If you get at it young enough (sub-22, pre-hip fusing, they'll still rotate which will give you a feminine shape, but not widen more than 1"-2"), you can be more lenient about parameters, generally.

Just be fairly certain about these things before you start, because, while you can go back with zero effort, it's significantly more damaging to your self-esteem. Also, only the minority can go 100% stealth, if you fall out of more than one parameter then you're probably fucked.

> Most of all, those things fuck you up, hard, specially mentally.

They don't mess you up mentally, they just make you more emotional. You can't surpress yourself any more. In my opinion, this is a pretty big plus because emotions are what makes life worth living in the first place.

All-in-all, I'd definitely said it was worth it for me. I went from a NEET with zero hopes and dreams to a decently attractive girl with a large circle of friends, a bf, and a future.

>>
>>140073631
>Bone structure
Yes. That's the killer. From what I've seen fat fucks who end up getting fit while transitioning end up looking better more often than not just because they have softer features. It depends though.

>Big feet and hands
Depends. There's lot of women with big hands and feet and during daily life most people won't be paying attention to those.

>Chest, underbust, and shoulders
Very important. I agree.

>Long face
The most important one. Face is everything. Even with make-up you can only get so far despite how magical make-up can be at times.

And then there's things like mannerisms, fashion, posture and a million more details. Transition is not just pop pills until you drop. It's a whole entire process to change your entire self, not just your appearance. That's why so many trannies fail so hard, they don't bother with all those things.

How could you even afford to transition while being a hopeless neet? Isn't this thing supposed to be costly?

Also, did you transition because of legit gender dysphoria or just because you wanted to be the cute little girl because that's nicer than being a guy? As someone who crossdresses regularly, I've always been interested on hormones for the latter but always been 50/50 of them, mostly because I'm full of all other kind of issues that take bigger priority.

Man, talking about this type civilly is so nice. Most of the time this type of discussion goes to shit for obvious reasons. Would it be to keep contact with you? I'd love someone to talk about these things. If you are up to it here's a throwaway [email protected]

> How could you even afford to transition while being a hopeless neet? Isn't this thing supposed to be costly?

Supportive parents. They coddled me and told me that I should have told them sooner etc. etc. I will never be able to love them enough for supporting me all that time. It was basically the biggest reason why I was in such a slump for most of my life, I repressed myself and threw myself at academia as a distraction, and eventually burned out in my last two years of university after even the final vestiges of my passion for CS dried up because of the very structured, stringent classes and became a self-destructive husk of despair.

I now live with my long-term bf. I do all the chores, cooking (breakfast, lunch, dinner, I prep him cute little bento boxes for lunch), finances, etc. and he goes to work. Just kinda waiting for him to pop the question at this point.

I really really want children, and he seems fine with the idea, so we'll probably adopt a toddler or something when we have a healthier financial base. I can work if need be, but he treats me like a little princess and tells me to take care of everything else instead.

> Also, did you transition because of legit gender dysphoria

Legitimate dysphoria. I've had it since I was a toddler, and even thought of transitioning in middle-school, but I was terrified of judgement from peers, friends, and family. I thought my parents would throw me out, and so I repressed.

I basically 'handled' my problems back then through distraction, defeatism, and roleplay.

Also, I can confirm that crying in a guy's chest is simultaneously the worst and best feeling ever. You feel safe and protected and you finally feel like you can let out all those emotions you've bottled up inside at once like a torrent. You still feel awful, but it's a good kind of awful.

So you really want to know?

It goes the same as the anime, usual shoujo. Then forced drama ensues:

Futaba confesses to Kou after both realize they like each other, but he rejects her because "muh drama" with Narumi.

Then the author uses some randomly introduced empty character (Touma, the one from the library) to emerge as a love rival, they start going out since Futaba wants to move on.

What goes on next are about 20, 25 chapter of some sort of NTR angst, some shallow character going out with Futaba for drama, then suddenly in the last few chapters Kou gets "okay I realized I'm doing shit and I'm getting her back and fuck Narumi" and they promptly get together.

What's bad of it?

Unlike the author's previous story (Strobe Edge) where you actually have two interesting characters (almost) from the beginning going for the MC's affection, AHR feels rushed as if a "good guy" character is introduced simply for drama.
Kou's idiotic actions as the main love interest makes you actually hate him, and wish for a NTR ending, but you know it's not going to happen because of how empty/underdeveloped the rival is, he's just there to add drama.

So you keep reading 20+ chapters of boring forced drama waiting for the predictable ending.

I've read Strobe Edge after Ao Haru Ride, and even though the art's not as good, the story is infinitely better written, forced drama kept to a minimum (when any) and you can actually like side characters.

Actually, women like faggots (feminine guys) AND masculine ripped men. Being tossed around by my boyfriend is one of my many switches. Seriously, when your bf can literally lift you with one arm and throws you down on the bed, it's amazing. Especially when he immediately starts forcefully making out with you or sticks it in. Just... wow.

No one likes bears (aka fatties with no muscle). No one.

T-this is going to be my inspiration for lifting.

Isn't twilight about blood scent and shit?

Westerners are disgusting tbqh. I'd rather smell of shampoo than blood and cum.
>>
>>140067720
Only sure way to get rid of is to cut your hair completely and then upkeep it via shampoo and shit.

Doing shampoo without cutting hair is waste of effort.
>>
>>140079061
>cut your hair completely

Sadly not a choice. I cut mine somewhat short about a month ago, but I can't cut it off completely.

I'm gonna look really ugly with no hair. I know myself.

Shampoo every single day
Rince your hair, pour a little of shampoo over your hair, rinse after 30 seconds, only then you can shampoo for real. But wait 3 minutes before rinsing.

Thanks for the advice, anon.

I'll try shampooing every day like you said. Any brands you prefer?

Is head n' shoulders fine (like one of the other guys who replied to me said)? Or does a normal shampoo still work?
>>
>>140079890
I solely use head and shoulders (and some special soap) because of skin issues so I'm not sure, but my trusted dermatologist told me Head and Shoulders is the best general-use shampoo brand there is. I guess this applies to dandruff issues too, since that's what their shampoos are marketed for.

I advise you hit /fa/ hair theads or better yet a real dermatologist if your problem persists. These people are way more likely to give sound advice than I, since my only basis is my own experience.
>>
>>140080401
Okay, I'll trust your dermatologist and try it out. I don't feel like the advice /fa/ will give will be a credible one.

I can't afford going to a dermatologist either (right now), so I'll be going entirely on your experience.

Really, thank you. Dandruff is annoying and if that works, I couldn't possibly thank you enough.

(english isn't my first language by the way, please be soft on me and my mistakes)

It's not my mother tongue either, can't really judge you on that
To be fair /fa/ has some decent body-care threads, at least that was the case some 2 to 3 years ago. Haven't been there in ages but I guees it's worth checking out.

>>140080801
It has worked for me thus far. And I had a pretty bad case too.
But yeah, if I don't keep this one shampoo a day routine it gradually comes back.

Whitening is cool. When you're 19 and balding, then you're fucked.

Try T-Gel or something similar, my scalp seems to get really dry rather than greasy dandruff, washing every day with normal anti dandruff shampoo did nothing but this worked straight away.

Your scalp may be allergic or senstive to your shampoo and the dandruff is a response to your scalp not liking your shampoo brand.

This is my preferred shampoo and conditioner brand.

It is completely fragrance free as well and free of common irritants so allergists and dermatologists frequently recommend this brand for people with extremely sensitive skin and scalps.

The company sells other things, too, like Vanicream Cleansing Bar which I use to wash both my face and body since it is extremely gentle.

Yeah, if you notice, unfortunately my skin reacts badly to fragrances so I have to buy products that contain no fragrance.

This guy knows what's up >>140086070

I had problems, and tried using several anti-dandruff shampoos which worked for a bit but stopped. The issue was finally, permanently gone when I found the right shampoo that I didn't react badly to. I didn't change how frequently I used shampoo or how I used it, just WHAT I used.
>>
>>140089716
Yeah, unfortunate thing was that it took me almost two years of an always dry, itchy head to figure out it was my damn shampoo I was always using since high school that was causing my scalp problems.

Like when people think of skin allergies or what not, they usually think of food or shit like poison ivy.

Your own soap or shampoo/conditioner is the last thing you think of when you think of potential skin problem causes..

For me, I really never paid attention to shampoo or conditioner brands because I just used whatever shampoo brand my parents were using and that shampoo brand just turned into my "favorite" because I never bothered trying anything else.

And after nearly two years of frustration, I just decided to speculate really really hard one day and then bam, I think my shampoo is fucking my shit up and that's when I pretty much googled for shampoo for extremely sensitive people and narrowed my choices down to the top 3 best sellers on Amazon and ended up picking the Free & Clear Shampoo and Conditioner brand and my head never itched since.
