She also confessed that she loved him - past tense. She's well and truly out of the running. I actually kinda disagree. Teenagers are fucking stupid dude, and they do a bad job of communicating things to each other. And the bashful/prude ones can beat around the bush for *years*. As a scanlator who's already gone through people sniping some series I worked on, it's more akin to a complete loss of motivation. It makes you feel like the hard work you put into it is worthless, easily replaced, or it could be completely invalidated just by someone releasing something earlier at any given time. It starts feeling like a waste of time.
It's specially worse when time is a scarce resource. There's a multitude of reasons, but these are the most common ones.
