How should I put it? At times it was very comfy. Especially after the MC got his act together. The somewhat good natured and aloof hero is a dirty cliche. However, somehow I didn't mind it very much in this series. I think the reason for this lies in the fact that he doesn't hesitate to kick ass whenever he has to.

It's pretty great, the character interactions and dialogue are amazing, I just wish the fights carried as much weight as the aforementioned.

I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're refering to as a Mech, is in fact, メカニカル, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Mecha. Mecha is not a genre unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning concept made manifest by the existence of vehicles, military equipment and of course, robots, comprising a full concept as defined by MAHQ.
