I presume the next episode is when either it becomes a slice of life with magic or hijincks happen. Someone gets kidnapped, someone gets in a fight, or some situation happens where the other characters are forced to give a shit about the fate of the one who's in trouble.
And then the moral story of how people don't give a shit about each other unless they share the pain is hammered into the viewer's skull.
