Kind of expected that; despite not having a dub or any sort of official release other than Crunchyroll streaming, Nichijou lays around the upper end of at least fandom popularity in North America (emphasis on that since I haven't heard Spaniards or the French or the Italians etc talk about it nor does it have any release in those languages) and any given Nichijou video on Youtube has views ranging from the hundreds of thousands to nearly 2 million.
The real test is how long it sticks.
Dunno about a second season of the anime to cover the unadapted vols/chapters, but if it continues to fly off the shelves we'll at the very least get a special message from Arawi or something in a volume.
