First book came out in 1997, 1st anime in 2000 when it's dub came out in 2002.
Hai was in 2006 (CG show) but barely had any human characters in it when Dechu was just a rebroadcast (4 new episodes were made in it's 2nd season however but everyone hated those new episodes, said episodes were also in CG).
