I've yet to understand all the hate for Killua. I feel like it's all fueled by the (justified) hatred for all his rabid fangirls, if you take them out of the picture he's a good character. I like Kurapika more, but he's not that bad. Leorio hasn't had enough time to get any development, and Gon only really got a big character arc when Kite died, so before that and even after I think Killua had the second most interesting plotline and backstory.
