How old is Akari when she becomes a Prima?
I'm rewatching Aria and I was wondering...Alice at the beginning is 14 right? Then when she takes the Prima Undine exam she has just finished middle school (for Japanese standards she should be 15 at this point), I can't believe just a year passed since the change of seasons is very evident in the series and we've seen multiple summers and winters.
IIRC Akari is 14 at the start and over the course of 6 manhome years she becomes 16.
It doesn't make sense. Don't worry about it too much.

You could possibly have some headcannon about Alice taking longer because she also worked. The mangaka was probably not too worried about the passage of time though. Seasons just allow the reader to experience a part of Neo Venezia that occurs solely at that time.

Whenever she met Caith Sith, she'd become a bit younger.
Every volume of the manga is a different season.
With those season's being twice as long that makes it so that every two volumes is a full earth year, and at 14 volumes that comes to 7 years since Akari arrived to when she became Prima.
I can't find where it originally said it, but I don't believe she was older than 17 when she finally became Prima.
I think in Amano's mind she was 15 the whole time during those 7 years.

If the series took place over 2 years, then Alice should be 16 by the end. So since Alicia became a prima when she was 15, that means Alicia most likely took over Aria company and lived on her own when she was still in middle school.
I figured Alice was closer to 12-13.
Also Akari's going to get fat when she grows up, isn't she.
Got through with episode 6 of season 1. I liked Athena and her singing voice. She's so clumsy, but in a cute way.
