Start of ants is pretty weak though. Doesn't really motivate you for the filler fights the way Renji/Kenpachi did.
Soul Eater's Asura Escaping arc was pretty sweet.

It's one of my favourite series but the serious arcs are fucking atrocious, Sorachi just cannot write proper battle shounen for shit. He fills it with melodramatic, cheesy dialogue with forced metaphors, generic cliched tragic backstories, and fights that are entirely willpower/determination fueled (like the most recent one with Takasugi and Gintoki just getting up over and over again, what a chore to watch). Fans overrate those moments because they're so used to comedy that it seems like something special in comparison but they're honestly worse than Naruto tier.
