Anyway Japanese people were expecting the manga to take that turn, the author, Egawa Tastsuya, is a known asshole that majored in Mathematics, he literally thinks he is a philosopher, genius extraordinaire.
He has self-declared to be the best mangaka in Japan once, so many of his works are his mouthpieces to portray whatever the fuck he is thinking at the moment, declaring it to be something that if you don't think it is good then you are retard that can't compare to his intellect.
Golden Boy OVA stopped at the right moment, pretty much anyone who has saw it would think the person who created was just an average guy that likes ecchi stuff, but oh boy, these poor people were spared from the insane "genius" that is Egawa Tastsuya
